Call to Arms 02:55
Wake up, wake up, there is a new sun in the sky Bleeding red from hearts that spilled their endless pride The timeline is diverging from our expectations now 'Til yesterday we could have speculated how Call to arms Paint the stars again and draw the sky once more Call to arms Form a world unlike the home we owned before Luna, Luna oversees a new breed of night Find the land has changed under a different rhythmic tide Call to arms Plant a seed to yield community this time Call to arms May it bear a fruit to let our deep compassion shine Call to arms Last harvest saw weak crops of human decency Call to arms May soul replace our current failing regency [Guitar solo] Call to arms Call to arms Call to arms Paint the stars again and draw the sky once more Call to arms Form a world unlike the one we knew before

[Guitar solo] A new generation, cyclical nature defined Something seems different, cynical minds by design They're not filled with the hope you remember They're not taking the world by storm But society's still in your clutches You refuse to let this take new form Lest you forget In time a new stage is set Change terrifies you Any challenge to your perception Any threat to change your direction Petrified Change terrifies you The old generation will never see worth in new youth Nothing is different someday we will be so uncouth I see life as it happens before me Not through lenses of idyllic old Won't turn blind eyes to weather so stormy Be the warmth when our world has gone cold Lest you forget No one's your marionette Change terrifies you Any challenge to your perception Any threat to change your direction Petrified Your anger consumes All potential to understand it You refuse to change how you're branded As we die There's a boy who grew up to be a girl And if that is the worst thing in your world Take her balls for yourself, you'll benefit I dismiss your crocodile tears and fears There's two men who are intertwined in love And if that makes your sky fall from above Take a look at yourself, you'll benefit May you see that evil lives right here Now see the rising tide It cannot erode the rock face of stagnation Of pointless devastation We're so heated, by the by Stand to be consumed in hateful conflagration What shall you tell the congregation [Guitar solo] Change terrifies you Any challenge to your perception Your anger consumes All potential to understand it You refuse to change how you're branded As we die Change terrifies you Change terrifies you You You You

Let's check the shelf life of good will It's well past ripe and gone downhill The stock is out in every store I'm told they cannot order more Got to be prepared Why aren't you prepared Everyone is scared Shelves are empty, bags full No one knows the goal Just that we need it all We'll be our own downfall Let's check the shelf of good will It's well past ripe and gone downhill, it's gone downhill We're running out in every store Resort to retail civil war Shelves are empty, bags full, got to be prepared No one knows the goal, why aren't you prepared Just that we need it all, everyone is scared Before the world's downfall, no one fucking cares Let's check the shelf of good will It's well past ripe and gone downhill, it's gone downhill The stock is out in every store Declare a retail civil war, this means war

Rigid 04:22
All that's set in stone is that nothing is set in stone at all Everything we've known can be seen from an angle big or small Don't believe all that you may think For the next time that you may blink You may find your foundation is not so rigid, it's not so scripted The world runs on fluidity Understanding's in infancy And our binding forces were never rigid, let's flesh out our vision One thing remains unchanged, and it's the nature of never-ending change Yet we decrease our range to the confines of a cosy doctrinal cage Leave the shackles of what you think For we're in a ship that will someday sink 'Cause the seas that we sail are not so rigid, they're not so scripted Can't return to the way things were That's how our current mess occurred In the future we cannot afford to be rigid, expand our vision Leave your fear behind Let the new enter your mind [Guitar solo] Don't believe all that you may think For the next time that you may blink You may find your foundation is not so rigid, it's not so scripted Can't return to the way things were That's how our current mess occurred In the future we cannot afford to be rigid Cannot afford to be rigid Cannot afford to be rigid

I'm feeling something new, wanna sort this out Colours coming into view when I see him now With all this evidence it makes overwhelming sense It melts away my straight pretense So I'm feeling something new, it dissolves my doubt And I've come to terms with the spirit inside This I cannot hide I think I'm in love, it's a part of me I think I'm in love, never felt so free The stark reality of sexuality is It's not up to you or me It's sad to realise love had lost to fear I was so terrified, so scared of being judged By people out of touch I think I'm in love, like it or not I think I'm in love, I'll give it a shot [Guitar solo] I've come to terms with the passion inside This I will not hide I think I'm in love, like it or not I think I'm in love, I'll give it a shot I think I'm in love, it's a part of me I think I'm in love, today I feel free

Once upon a time, a younger me Thought it was hard to make an enemy The smoke from bridges burning fills the air And I'm too hurt to even care Spent too much time in complacency Tried to win them over aimlessly I still contend there's good in everyone But if you blot out my sun I'll come down like a hammer Metal rod falling down from the exosphere Please understand I have no fear Of pushing you away, I'm not gonna play Once upon a time, a younger me Thought it was hard to make an enemy Tripping over nails on the floor of life What will I do to set things right I'll come down like a hammer Metal rod falling down from the exosphere Please understand I have no fear Of pushing you away, I'm not gonna play Metal rod falling down from the exosphere Please understand I have no fear Of building up my walls, it's not the first time after all I'll come down Like a rod from God Like a rod from God [Guitar solo] I'll come down like a hammer Metal rod falling down from the exosphere Please understand I have no fear Of building up my walls, it's not the first time after all Metal rod falling down from the exosphere Please understand I have no fear Of pushing you away, I'm not gonna play I'll come down Like a rod from God Like a rod from God

There is a plague on our doorstep, not just disease But vivid hatred of such depth, we blame each other on repeat This estrangement is needless when the world is on its knees Looks like we've reached a dead end in generating harmony Is this where we surrender Accept this state forever Or do we stand together And redefine our better It's hard to believe in belief now It's hard to put stock in the somehow It seems like we are one misstep from deepening the wound With knives of bias and contempt, it plays out like a sad cartoon Everybody is preaching to the choir in their rooms Afraid to venture from their nest, it could be blown away soon The status quo is breaking But still we keep on waiting It's hard to believe in belief now It's hard to put stock in the somehow It's hard to believe in belief now All alone in the crowd All alone in the crowd Silence so loud All alone in the crowd

Take this all away I can't concentrate I cannot feel a trace of what once remained Nothing can be rebuilt, no one can explain Try to ignore the broadcast we're sending You cannot control it, the future is ending We have lost sight of our destination Look to the stars, cure our desperation Guide us to the stream of conscience (and the fountain of truth) I can't concentrate Accuse them of crying wolf when the fangs have sunk Wounds on their necks aren't theories you can debunk The beast still exists even if you can't see it The danger is real, can you comprehend it Unprecedented separation We're lost in this moment of aberration Guide us to the stream of conscience (and the fountain of truth) On the prowl again On the prowl again On the prowl again Heard it howling then On the prowl again On the prowl again On the prowl again Try to ignore the broadcast we're sending You cannot control it, the future is ending We're lost in this moment of aberration Unprecedented separation Guide us to the stream of conscience We have lost sight of our destination Look to the stars, cure our desperation Guide us to the stream of conscience (and the fountain of truth) Take this all away

In a place of learning where we show them what they can and cannot be There, a storm is brewing and we treat it as a slice of normalcy How are we so blind, as if it's by design No more talking to brick walls // I'll just leave 'em where they stand while the wrecking crew takes them down // Get it through all your thick skulls that this is not a situation in which we should be proud Do we just stand around Pretend there's no meltdown Silence is a weapon Silence is a weapon Time has proven ignorance will destroy the innocent History is imminent if we excuse impotence Scholars dying, hidden Won't we save our children How are we so blind, no empathy to find No more talking to brick walls // I'll just leave 'em where they stand while the wrecking crew takes them down // Doing nothing is our status quo but no- thing we do can muffle all these sounds Look out below Into smithereens we're blown Silence is a weapon Silence is a weapon Time has proven ignorance will destroy the innocent History is imminent if we have no will to bend Targets in the millions We won't save our children Look in a child's eyes, tell me do they wanna die Then let me beg the question, why can we not save more lives Look in a child's eyes, tell me do they wanna die Then let me beg the question, why can we not save more lives Look into their eyes Do they wanna die Silence is a weapon Silence is a weapon Time has proven ignorance will destroy the innocent History is imminent and our care is impotent Time has shown we're unprepared as a people, to declare That we won't take anymore, who is advocating for Scholars dying hidden Won't we save our children Targets in the millions We won't save our children

Time is never on our side No rules by which it must abide It never needs to justify The scars and scrapes it leaves behind The natural order can change without warning It's done so time and time before And I know that we can find a way once more The east will give us the sun in the morning Again the mountain lion roars And the tide will rendezvous upon our shores We detect new threats each day Resist their reach in every way Still the untried pest betrays Our wish to keep this present age We could be thrown without warning Into our darkest era yet Unaware of who'll protect and who'll beset But after every night is a morning Through thickest clouds there's still a light It will give us all the strength we need to fight Release your fear And persevere The natural order can change without warning It's done so time and time before And I know that we can find a way once more Your future could shift without warning Perhaps you've lived it out before But I know you still have something left in store Let sleep rejuvenate you for the morning Defeat does not define the war There is still a chance to even up the score Release your fear And persevere

about

Much of the music on STREAM OF CONSCIENCE was written during the beginning of... let's just say major world events in the spring of 2020. It was a time in which the ugliest and most beautiful parts of people shone more brightly than I can ever remember. The ugliness I had witnessed made me write off most things in life as a waste of time. The beauty I had witnessed made me wonder if I too was well-meaning after all.
